Rev. Dr. Carol Anne Janzen joined the Canadian Bible Society as the Regional Director for the Atlantic Region on January 15, 2018.
An ordained Pastor with the Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada, Dr. Janzen comes to CBS from Acadia Divinity College in Nova Scotia as the Director of the Charles J. Taylor Centre for Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care. In recent years, she has also been Assistant Professor of Practical Theology, Director of Mentored Ministry and Dean of Students at the college as well. She earned a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Alberta, Master of Religious Education from Acadia University, as well as a Master of Arts in History from the University of New Brunswick.
In her new role, Carol Anne will build upon an ecumenical approach to lead our Regional team of staff and volunteers across the Atlantic provinces to deliver renewed Ministry programs and Church and volunteer engagement. Additionally, she will assist with local fundraising events as well as the distribution and sales of Bibles and the Scriptures. Carol Anne has familiarized herself with CBS, having served on the Nova Scotia District Board since 2013, establishing long-term community relationships within Nova Scotia and the other Atlantic provinces throughout her years of ministry. She brings a heart of understanding for mobilizing Canadians to become more active in partnering with those elsewhere to bring the Gospel to all nations. Feel free to contact Carol Anne as she looks forward to serving you and your church through Bible Society presentations and services.
