Canadian Bible Society Introduces Dynamic Children’s Comic Book Series
TORONTO – January 24, 2019 – The Canadian Bible Society (CBS) is constantly seeking to help Canadians engage with the Word through new and creative ways. For instance, CBS is reaching Canadian families through Scripture resources and publications available on their online bookstore at Biblescanada.com.
CBS is excited to introduce a new comic book series called Fear Not. This series specifically targeting children aged 8 to 12 is about an average boy named Samuel who, upon encountering Jesus, is thrust into an adventure to bring a message of hope to lost people across the Land of the Desolate. When Samuel encounters Jesus and decides to place his trust in Him, he is given the shield of faith to defend himself from the fiery darts of the enemy. Also joining Samuel are other friends and characters to help deal with various fears and struggles shared by children.
“We have experienced a great response to the Fear Not comic book series from families this past Christmas at the time of launch,” says Rev. Dr. Rupen Das, CBS National Director, “This is an excellent Christian comic book series dealing with real issues children face and how they can overcome their fears with God’s help. We anticipate increased interest from parents and grandparents alike as the excitement continues to grow.”
