Walk/Run for the Word (W/R4W) is a fundraising event held in the Maritimes since 2013. This annual event aims to connect the Canadian Bible Society (CBS) friends and supporters together to raise funds for Bible-based programs in Canada and around the world. Participants join by committing to walk or run to raise funds for the various CBS Bible translation, distribution and engagement programs.

5K RUN / 1K WALK
Walk/Run for the brave men and women in the Canadian Armed Forces
This year, W/R4W is raising funds for Operation Bible, a program that works in partnership with military chaplains who serve members of the Canadian Armed Forces and their families. Through this program, CBS provides emotional and spiritual support to Canadian soldiers by making God’s Word available to them. This support is especially crucial for soldiers during long-term deployment to hostile places, and for soldiers dealing with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Each year, the Canadian Bible Society provides special CADPAT camouflage Bibles, allowing soldiers to carry God’s Word close to their hearts as they face dangerous missions and situations.
