J\u2019avais perdu mon emploi (encore), je traversais une crise de sant\u00e9 mentale, et je commen\u00e7ais \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser que j\u2019\u00e9tais alcoolique. M\u00eame si j\u2019\u00e9tais mari\u00e9 et p\u00e8re de deux gar\u00e7ons, je perdais la volont\u00e9 de vivre. Sans foi et dans un \u00e9tat de d\u00e9sespoir total, je me suis agenouill\u00e9 et j\u2019ai pri\u00e9 que, s\u2019il y avait un Dieu, ma vie \u00e9tait la sienne.<\/p>\n<p>Dieu s\u2019est manifestement r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 \u00e0 moi. Un inconnu m\u2019a approch\u00e9 dans un magasin de lunettes et m\u2019a invit\u00e9 \u00e0 une \u00e9tude biblique. J\u2019ai dit \u00ab Oui \u00bb. Il s\u2019est av\u00e9r\u00e9 que l\u2019\u00e9tude biblique \u00e9tait une rencontre des alcooliques anonymes. J\u2019ai par ailleurs fait la rencontre d\u2019une personne qui m\u2019a offert la Daily Walk Bible. Je l\u2019ai toute lue. Comment ces deux inconnus sont-ils entr\u00e9s dans ma vie et pourquoi ont-ils partag\u00e9 la Bible avec moi ? Dieu les a plac\u00e9s sur mon chemin et ils savaient que ce dont j\u2019avais besoin \u00e9tait Sa Parole Vivante.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9tant conscient d\u2019avoir besoin d\u2019enseignements bibliques, j\u2019ai cherch\u00e9 une \u00e9glise. Dieu m\u2019a indiqu\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9glise St. Paul de la rue Bloor o\u00f9 je vais encore aujourd\u2019hui.<\/p>\n<p>Quand je pense \u00e0 Marie, je ne peux pas imaginer la peur et le d\u00e9sespoir qu\u2019elle a d\u00fb ressentir. Un ange lui est apparu en lui disant qu\u2019elle porterait un enfant qui serait le Fils du Dieu Tr\u00e8s-Haut. Elle est adolescente, enceinte et hors mariage. Seule son incroyable foi en Dieu lui permet d\u2019avancer malgr\u00e9 le m\u00e9pris des autres et sa propre honte. Elle met sa confiance en Dieu et trouve l\u2019espoir, qui est enracin\u00e9 dans la promesse de Dieu pour ceux qui choisissent de le suivre.<\/p>\n<p>Ce sera finalement par le sacrifice de Son fils que nous aurons la promesse d\u2019une vie \u00e9ternelle. Tout a commenc\u00e9 parce que Marie \u00e9tait d\u00e9sesp\u00e9r\u00e9e et avait confiance que Dieu avait un plan. En fait, Dieu a un plan pour tous ceux qui choisissent de le suivre. <\/p>\n<p>J\u00e9r\u00e9mie 29:11 <em>\u00ab Car je connais les projets que j\u2019ai \u00e0 ton \u00e9gard, d\u00e9clare l\u2019\u00c9ternel, projets qui visent \u00e0 te faire prosp\u00e9rer et non \u00e0 te nuire, projets qui visent \u00e0 te donner un avenir et un espoir. \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Mon voyage vers la sobri\u00e9t\u00e9 et la foi a commenc\u00e9 par le d\u00e9sespoir suivi d\u2019un abandon absolu. Ma soif pour la Parole augmentait au fur et \u00e0 mesure que mon d\u00e9sir d\u2019alcool diminuait. Je regarde les d\u00e9fis de ma vie en \u00e9tant tr\u00e8s reconnaissant pour mes 13 ans de sobri\u00e9t\u00e9 et ma sant\u00e9 mentale florissante. Ma vie est un t\u00e9moignage de la puissance transformatrice de Dieu. Il a rachet\u00e9 mes luttes et les a utilis\u00e9es pour Sa gloire.
