Kettia : The best decision of her life

Kettia was raised in a Christian home, but it was not until age 12 that she decided to put her faith in God. “It was the best decision of my life. Knowing Jesus changed my life!’’, she says.

Discovering her God given talents allowed her to serve her local church in many ways, not only as a youth leader, an event coordinator and a Sunday school teacher but also as the director of a much appreciated Gospel choir which sings in various events to the delight of its audiences. She is convinced that asking God to reveal His plans for our lives is crucial if we want to accomplish our purpose.

When asked about her thoughts on the Bible, Kettia responded: “God speaks to us in many ways: sometimes through a sermon, a song, a friend, and even through a perfect stranger. I’ve also noticed that He often speaks through His Word, which is why we should read it on a regular basis. I think that the Bible is an extraordinary book, a letter from God to us. Thus it is in our best interest to read it entirely (from Genesis to Revelation), more than once in our life! The book of Proverbs abounds in words of wisdom. Some chapters from the books of Genesis and Acts of the Apostle are full of twists and turns. The love story found in the book of Ruth is so inspiring..

Kettia’s desire is to keep reading God’s Word, which is “a lamp unto her feet and a light unto her path” (Psalm 119:105), but above all, she wants her life to be an open Bible that will guide people to Jesus-Christ.
