Christmas resources

Jesus is the reason for the Season! But in this day and age, Christmas has become too commercialized and stressful. However, this is a great opportunity for us to be a light to others as we share the real meaning of Christmas – that Jesus was born to save us from our sins and to give us “life in all its fullness”. (John 10.10)

The Canadian Bible Society provides the resources you need to share the true meaning of Christmas with your loved ones. These resources are Scripture-based and can be requested, downloaded and printed at home.

Christmas Cards

Christmas card designsJust when we think that Christmas cards are archaic, consider the following facts:

  • 1.5 billion Christmas cards are sent in the United States each year.
  • 45% of all cards sent are Christmas cards.
  • The greeting card industry is directly and indirectly responsible for the jobs of 100,000 people in the UK.
  • Although there are no specific reports on the use of greeting cards in Canada, Christmas card purchases is included in the 98.7million spending for Christmas supplies in 2017.

These statistics show that people still care about receiving and sending Christmas cards. It’s a part of Christmas traditions that people still look forward to.

No ho-ho-ho or Season’s Greetings or Happy Holidays…
it’s all about Jesus and the first Christmas

For the Canadian Bible Society (CBS), Christmas cards are more than just a Christmas tradition: they are a great way to share the true message of Christmas – that Christ was born to be our Saviour, Counselor, and Prince of Peace. His birth assures us that God is with us!

That is why CBS produces Christmas cards every year. This year, we offer five new Christmas card designs. And like other years, these beautifully designed cards come with Scripture passages and inspirational quotes that speak of the significance of Jesus’ birth.
