MIDDLE EAST: Hope for the Persecuted Church
Followers of Jesus are under siege in many countries around the globe. Their governments are antagonistic to the spread of the Gospel and actively persecute the church. Countless followers of Jesus have fled for their lives. Those who remain face unprecedented levels of violence and discrimination.
Bible printing is banned. Distribution is banned. Christian churches are forbidden. Church leaders have been arrested and given long prison sentences for “crimes against national security.”
For many years CBS has cultivated a special relationship with the persecuted churches in the Middle Eastern region. This collaboration has resulted in two unique projects in the region to strengthen the church through the Scriptures.
