Leaving a Legacy

You can leave a legacy that brings God’s Word to those who need it most, with a planned gift to the Canadian Bible Society.

Giving through your will

By including the Canadian Bible Society in your will, you’ll have the opportunity to leave a legacy and continue the furthering of God’s Kingdom, while still providing for your family.

To include the Canadian Bible Society in your will, you may wish to use the wording from one of our sample bequest statements.

October 1, 2026 | Webinar | When Someone Else Needs to Speak for You
Date: Thursday, October 1
Time: 12:00 PM ET
Presented by: Lorne Jackson

Many people assume that if something unexpected happened, their spouse or adult children would automatically be able to make decisions for them. In reality, that is often not the case. Questions around powers of attorney and living wills are some of the most misunderstood parts of estate and personal planning. People are often unsure what these documents actually do? When they come into effect? Who should be chosen? What authority they give? And what can happen if they are missing or outdated?

In this practical 30-minute webinar, we’ll explore the important role powers of attorney and healthcare directives play in protecting both you and your family during illness, incapacity, emergencies, or later stages of life. It’s about making your wishes known, reducing stress for loved ones, and ensuring trusted people are able to help when needed most. Whether you are creating these documents for the first time or reviewing older plans, this session will help bring clarity and confidence to an area many people avoid simply because they don’t fully understand it.

October 13, 2026 | Webinar | It Might Be Time: Updating Your Estate Plan for a New Stage of Life
Date: Tuesday, October 13
Time: 8:00 PM ET
Presented by: Lorne Jackson

You created your will when your children were young, your priorities were different, and life looked very different than it does today. But if your children are now adults and your estate plan hasn’t been revisited in years, it may be time to take another look. Join us to explore why estate plans should evolve alongside your family. As children grow older, relationships shift, assets change, responsibilities expand, and new questions often emerge around executors, powers of attorney, inheritances, family communication, aging parents, blended families, and long-term planning goals.

This session will help you understand when an estate plan should be reviewed, common areas families overlook after children become adults, and how to approach planning conversations with grown children in healthy and productive ways. We’ll also discuss practical updates that may help reduce future confusion, protect family relationships, and ensure your current wishes are clearly reflected in your documents.

You want your giving to make a difference.

But figuring out the smartest, simplest, and most effective way to give can sometimes feel surprisingly complicated. What is a donor-advised fund exactly? How does it work? Is it only for wealthy families? And why are more Canadians choosing this approach for charitable giving? In this webinar, we’ll unpack everything you need to know about donor-advised funds (DAFs) in Canada —without the jargon or complexity.

We’ll explore how donor-advised funds work, the flexibility and tax advantages they can offer, and how they can help individuals, families, and business owners give more intentionally over time. Whether you’re supporting your church, favourite charities, community organizations, or causes you care deeply about, this session will help you understand how a foundation-style approach to giving can simplify generosity and create lasting impact.

November 10, 2026 | Webinar | Families, Futures & Estate Planning
Date: Tuesday, November 10
Time: 8:00 PM ET
Presented by: Mary Lynn Huizinga

No two families look exactly alike and estate planning should reflect that.

For many Canadians, family relationships are layered and beautifully complex. There may be second marriages, stepchildren, aging parents, adult children, grandchildren, shared properties, family businesses, caregiving responsibilities, or loved ones with unique financial or personal needs. But when estate plans don’t fully reflect those realities, misunderstandings, conflict, and unintended outcomes can happen far too easily.

This practical and compassionate webinar explores estate planning for today’s families including blended families, common law relationships, multi-generational households, caregiving situations, and other unique family dynamics that require additional care and clarity. Whether your situation is simple or complex, this session will help you think more intentionally about the people you love and the legacy you hope to leave behind.

When players compare modern slot lobbies and live dealer lobbies side by side, the depth of the game catalogue often decides which brand earns a second visit. Software providers like Evolution, Pragmatic Play and Play'n GO have reshaped expectations around streaming quality and bonus round pacing, so even a polished welcome package can fall flat if the underlying roster feels thin. For anyone weighing wagering terms against ongoing promo cadence, an established option such as AngliaBet casino tends to land on shortlists thanks to its mix of table limits and progressive jackpot coverage. Withdrawal speed, KYC handling, and the responsiveness of live chat support are the next filters most reviewers apply before committing a deposit, and that same checklist tends to separate the operators worth keeping bookmarked from the ones that quietly fade out of rotation.
Players weighing fresh real money platforms often look at withdrawal speed, live dealer variety, and bonus transparency before committing, and a recent review of Zizobet highlighted all three. The site pairs a deep slots catalogue with weekly tournaments, scratch cards, and a sportsbook that covers Premier League fixtures down to lower European divisions. Returning members can grab reload deals tied to specific studios like Pragmatic Play and Evolution, while newcomers get a tiered welcome package spread across the first four deposits. A new Zizobet promo code also unlocks free spins on a featured game whenever it drops monthly, keeping the lobby feeling fresh for casual punters and grinders alike.
Players weighing live dealer lobbies against quick-fire slot sessions often compare reload bonuses and wagering requirements before settling on a platform, and recent reviews of Vegas Now highlight how crypto-friendly cashier sections and same-day withdrawal processing have become deciding factors for newcomers who previously bounced between offshore sites chasing fair playthrough terms.
Spieler, die Online-Casino-Optionen für Iris online Casino vergleichen, können Iris online Casino als passenden Anbieter für das Thema betrachten.
A lot of newcomers to online gambling want to know which European brands actually welcome British customers without burying the fine print, and the guide at ModernGhana: EU casinos for UK players breaks down licensing, payment options, and bonus terms so readers can compare sites side by side.
