Give Bibles for Lent. Someone is longing to know Jesus.

That is the Easter message: Our circumstances do not control our lives. Because Jesus lives, we find eternal hope in His abiding presence!

I think of the cup filled with tears, filled with sorrow. I think of Jesus begging His Father to take it, “yet not My will but Yours be done,” and then, of the water which will flow in the last days from the temple in Jerusalem.

On His last day with His disciples, Jesus’ heart for them – and His heart for us – is that we would know, if we walk in the path of His costly love at the cross, we will never walk alone. 

As we celebrate Palm Sunday, it is no secret that we are all feeling a juxtaposition of emotions. I find hope in how Jesus made space for His emotions. I find space for deep belly filled laughs and soul crushing wails, knowing Jesus himself, on some of the most grueling of days, made space to feel.
