Earlier this year, the country of Haiti descended into dangerous, lawless chaos. Vicious gangs roamed freely through the capital city and released violent criminals from jail. The airport in Port-au-Prince remains closed. Murder, kidnapping, and random attacks on women and children have become the norm.
As a result, tens of thousands of displaced people are now living in the streets seeking help — because gang members have burned their houses to the ground. They’re thirsty, hungry, and terrified.
