“I suddenly stopped seeing and felt so hopeless about life,” he recalls. His father tried to console and comfort him, but “I gave up,” Peter says.
TURNING POINT FOR PETER
A few years later, Peter enrolled at Thika School for the Blind near Nairobi, Kenya. And that is where he received the audio Bible that changed his life once again.
“The first time I encountered the audio Bible, I was so excited,” Peter says. Then one day when he was listening to his Bible, he heard God speak clearly. Peter fell to the floor calling out to God.
“I got born again,” he says, “and have enjoyed my relationship with God ever since.”
Headteacher Madam Peninah says, “My students easily operate it, love how portable it is. Every dormitory has an audio Bible, and the students do Bible study every night before they sleep.”
