Watch or listen to the Bishop of Bermuda, the Rt. Rev. Nicholas Dill being interviewed by CBS Ambassador, Rev. Dr. Andrew Stirling. In this episode Nick shares his journey, from growing up in Bermuda, to studying in London and becoming a lawyer, and how in the process of learning and hungering for His Word the Bible came alive and he saw his own life transform. Nick felt the call to ministry, went on to study theology at the University of Oxford, began ministering in England and then in Bermuda.

The Rt. Rev. Nicholas Dill

Bishop Nicholas Dill was born on Dock Hill, Devonshire and has degrees in Politics and History from the University of Toronto and Law from the University of London. He practiced as a barrister in London and Bermuda, working at the firm founded by his grandfather, Conyers, Dill & Pearman. During this time, he felt the call of God to offer himself for ministry and pursued studies at Wycliffe Hall Theological College at the University of Oxford.

Bishop Dill began ministering in England and then in Bermuda. He was involved in setting up community based ecumenical programs to help address community needs in response to the gang violence that erupted in his city. Bishop Dill helped to re-establish links between the church and the local schools and was instrumental in setting up community outreach and feeding programs across the parish and new initiatives for outreach to the youth and children.

In February 2013 he was elected as the next Bishop of Bermuda. In May of the same year, he was consecrated in the Cathedral in Hamilton. Bishop Dill is looking to see where God is leading the Church – but knows it includes a greater emphasis on evangelism, youth, communication, work within the community and with Christian brothers and sisters of every denomination, fueled by the scriptures and prayer.

Bishop Nick is husband to Fiona, and father to 6 amazing children.
