The Canadian Bible Society partners with Christians in dangerous situations where detailed reporting can jeopardize ministries, organizations and lives. We thank God that our supporters make it possible to show compassion, to intervene, and to stand with people who experience the most grave situations. Here are some of the situations where you are present, through your support for CBS. Please, pray for all the people they represent.

In country after country, society often ignores the skills, talents, and intelligence of those with visual disabilities. CBS is bringing about change by working alongside partners with sustained outreach to people deeply underserved by Scriptures.

The 70 million-strong Deaf community is one of the largest groups still unreached by the gospel. Members are often neglected, isolated or even abused. Their language may be unrecognized, resources scarce, and literacy rates low. With your support, the silence is broken, and a whole new world opens for Deaf people.

Hearing God speak in one’s own language transforms people’s lives. Worship becomes more heartfelt, faith grows stronger, and outreach to neighbours more powerful. CBS is deeply committed to translation, to help more people hear God speak.

Today, the number of Christians in Cuba has doubled, and more than two million women, men and children have found Jesus Christ. Yet there are not enough Bibles to meet the growing demand…

Overcomers is a Bible-based, 12-step recovery and support program designed to guide individuals toward freedom from life-controlling problems. In the past year, many ministries and churches began turning to CBS Overcomers as a resource for those facing challenges such as behavioural addictions, substance abuse, emotional challenges and interpersonal problems.

Caring for the Wounded Heart is CBS’ trauma healing ministry drawing on the restorative power of God’s Word.

As churches and ministries across Canada intensify their engagement with young people, they turn to CBS as a partner and sponsor.

For several years, CBS has sought out diaspora churches to provide Scripture in their “heart languages” and support leaders as they engage people in the Word of God. As a member of United Bible Societies, CBS has access to Scripture in hundreds of languages.
